These Terms apply when you use Review the Messages, order a review, upload conversations or supporting material, or use a report we provide.

This service is for people who want a clearer look at an online or long-distance relationship, including family members or friends who are worried about someone they care about.

What We Do

We review the messages you provide and look at the conversation as a whole.

Depending on the type of review, we may look at consistency, changing explanations, promises, requests, follow-through, financial pressure, secrecy, urgency, cancelled plans, video calls, reported in-person meetings, and other patterns that show up in the messages.

We’re not here to tell you what to believe. We point out what lines up, what doesn’t, what seems reassuring, and what may need a closer look.

If You’re Worried About a Family Member or Friend

You may be here because a parent, child, sibling, friend, or other person you care about is involved in an online relationship and something doesn’t feel right.

That does not mean we assume you’re right.

We look at the messages the same way either way. If the conversation contains reassuring information, we include it. If there are repeated requests for money, changing stories, unusual pressure, secrecy, or other concerning patterns, we include those too.

We Don’t Start With a Conclusion

We do not sell a predetermined answer.

We cannot promise that a review will confirm your concerns or reassure you about the relationship. The report is based on the information you provide and the context available in the conversation.

What We Don’t Do

Review the Messages is not a dating or matchmaking service, private investigator, background-check service, law firm, law-enforcement agency, financial adviser, medical provider, or mental-health provider.

We do not guarantee that another person is truthful, dishonest, legitimate, fraudulent, safe, unsafe, or who they say they are.

Unless a report specifically says otherwise, we are not independently verifying someone’s identity, job, income, location, photographs, medical condition, family circumstances, travel plans, financial claims, or other outside facts.

A report is an analysis of the messages and other materials you submit. It is not a certification of another person’s identity, intentions, honesty, or future behavior.

What You Submit

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to provide the messages, screenshots, documents, or other information you send to us.

Do not send us material that was obtained illegally or that you are legally prohibited from sharing.

Please do not upload passwords, Social Security numbers, complete credit card numbers, full bank-account numbers, authentication codes, or other highly sensitive information that is not needed for the review.

The More Complete the Conversation, the Better the Review

We can only review what you give us.

Missing messages, deleted conversations, edited screenshots, incomplete exports, or important conversations that happened somewhere else can affect the report.

If we think important context is missing, we may point that out or ask for more information.

Technology and Human Review

We may use technology, including automated or artificial-intelligence tools, to help organize large message histories, build timelines, compare statements, and find patterns.

Technology helps us review the material efficiently, but the final report is reviewed by a person before it is delivered.

Your Decisions Are Still Yours

A Review the Messages report is one source of information. It should not be the only thing you rely on when making a major personal, financial, legal, travel, immigration, or safety decision.

Decisions about continuing or ending a relationship, sending money, traveling to meet someone, moving, getting engaged or married, sharing financial information, or making other major commitments are still yours.

If the situation involves personal safety, a large amount of money, legal concerns, or another high-stakes issue, you should also consider speaking with the appropriate professional.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a review or submit materials to Review the Messages.

Prices and Payment

The price and scope of each review are shown on our Pricing page or at checkout.

Payment is generally required before we begin the review. Payments are processed through Stripe or another payment provider shown at checkout.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you change your mind before we have started substantive work on your review, contact us and we will ordinarily provide a full refund.

Once substantive review work has started, payments are generally non-refundable because time and resources have already been committed to your review.

If we accept your order and are unable to provide the service you purchased, we will provide an appropriate refund for the part of the service that was not delivered.

Delivery

Any delivery estimate starts after we receive payment and the information we reasonably need to begin the review.

Incomplete uploads, very large message histories, missing information, technical problems, or additional information we need from you may extend the completion time.

Unless we specifically guarantee a delivery date in writing, any delivery timeframe shown on the website or at checkout is an estimate.

Privacy

Online relationship conversations can contain very personal information. Before submitting anything, please review our Privacy Policy and Data & Deletion Policy.

No Guarantee of Outcome

Relationships are complicated, and no review of messages can remove all uncertainty.

We cannot guarantee that a relationship will work out, that another person will behave a certain way, or that future messages will stay consistent with past messages.

Limits of the Service

To the extent allowed by law, Review the Messages is not responsible for personal, financial, relationship, travel, legal, or other decisions made by a customer or someone else based on a report.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The current version will always be posted on this website.
